Jesus said,

“Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.”

Matthew 19:14

Sunday School

Both classes are involved in fundraising for special projects throughout the year, including The Souper Bowl of Caring, Imagine No Malaria, UMCOR, and the local Humane Society.

Class 1

Ages 3 through 9 years.  We use the Deep Blue curriculum from Cokesbury and other materials.  Activities include reading and discussing the Bible story, related craft projects, songs, and prayers.

Class 2

Ages 10 through 14 years.  We study and discuss various Bible verses and how these verses relate to our everyday lives.

Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power.

Psalm 145:4

Sunday Morning Worship

The modern church provides a robust offering of exciting programs for the needs and interests of the modern people, which reinforces the presence of God in the church. The pastor, as the preacher, leader and designer of worship, always focuses on the presence of God the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit during worship. As a messenger of God’s words, the pastor distributes a printed copy of his sermon text with good news worthy of printing. Joy Kim, the music director and organist, is one of the first-rank musicians of sacred music in New York City. Holy Communion is celebrated during the worship service on the first Sunday of each month. Communion is open to all.

Alcohol & Narcotic Recovery

Using a 12-setp program, our group meetings offer help to those recovering from addiction.

Adult Bible Study

Adult Bible Studies are held in Advent and Lent by our Lay Leader, George Cavalieri. They occur in our Fellowship Hall on Sundays after the worship service, from 11:15am to 12:30pm. Everyone is invited to attend, and we often have members of the community and other churches participating in these studies. No prior knowledge or reading is required, and those interested may attend as many of the sessions as they are able.  The New Testament text is provided for all, along with an outline of the study as a guide. There is no pre-registration or fee.
